Young Business Leader of the Year

The recipient of the Young Business Leader of the Year category will have transformed a company, market, service or product and will be leaders and trendsetters in their organization(s) in innovation, special advancements in technology, management, production and operations.

 

The criteria for the candidate should meet achieved positive financial results, sound management, increased shareholder value, proven corporate governance, including tangible qualities such as vision and integrity.

  • Leadership: An individual who has embodied great leadership qualities such as earning great respect from peers, staff, competitors, and community. A skilled leader who takes calculated risks that transform into sustainable success.

Term: The candidate must have been in the current position of leadership for a minimum of 3 years.

  • Age: The candidate should be 35 years and younger.
  • Footprint: The candidate must be a leader from an African based company and an African footprint beyond their region is favourable.
  • Financial Acumen: The finances should show profitability and a growth rate indicating long-term sustainability throughout the entrant’s leadership. They should have achieved significant business milestones (e.g., merger, acquisition, license, major funding, and revenue).

Innovator of the Year

The winner of the Innovator of the Year category will have created remarkable impact in their sector by transforming a market, company, and product or service. They should also be pioneer their organization(s) in innovation. The winner’s criteria would be that they have achieved positive financial results, sound management, proven corporate governance, increased shareholder value, and demonstrated innovations, together with intangible qualities such as vision and integrity.

Business Woman of the Year

The recipient of the prestigious award of the Business Woman of the Year category will embody outstanding leadership in business. The winner’s criteria would be that they have achieved positive financial results, sound management, proven corporate governance, increased shareholder value, and demonstrated innovations, together with intangible qualities such as vision and integrity.

CFO of the Year

The recipient of the prestigious award of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) category will embody outstanding leadership in business. The winner’s criteria would be that they have achieved positive financial results, sound management, proven corporate governance, increased shareholder value, and demonstrated innovations, together with intangible qualities such as vision and integrity.

The winner of the Business Leader of the Year category will exemplify outstanding leadership in business.

He/she will have achieved positive financial results, increased shareholder value, sound management, proven corporate governance, demonstrated innovation, together with intangible qualities such as integrity and vision.

Philanthropist Of the Year

The recipient of this award for the Philanthropist of the Year category has to portray outstanding moral, financial and/or resource support and investment in the community. This award merits an exceptional patron who has shown noteworthy leadership in the field of personal philanthropy and who, through their generosity, has made extraordinary difference in introducing and supporting sustainable social change.

The Philanthropy Award seeks to identify and acknowledge an individual for their outstanding contributions towards the development of the regions socially and economically.

This award will be handed to individuals and organizations inspire other and set a high standard within their particular business field.

Entrepreneur of the Year

This category aims to honor individuals who have excelled in entrepreneurial leadership over the past 12 months. The entrepreneurs will be shortlisted and evaluated on a number of criteria, including: entrepreneurial spirit; tenacity, imagination, resourcefulness, business acumen, innovation; strategic direction; financial performance; national and global impact; and the companies’ approach to social responsibility.

Lifetime Achievement Award

This Award will recognize the business personality who best represents achievement and longevity. The award acknowledges the winner’s sustained achievements within the business community during a distinguished career. Eligible nominees are those who have been actively involved in the business community for at least 25 years.

Hall of Fame Award

The award recognizes an industry leader who stands out from their peers for their dedication and contributions to the industry, their business success, their service to their communities and their leadership.
